Hi there! I want to start off by saying that if it wasn't for this community and the instructions on how to use the Amazon Echo and set up the device for a person without a smartphone, my family and I wouldn't have been able to interact with my father this past year while he was in skilled care and also, in the hospital before he passed. I'm truly appreciative for the innovations that exist, and the people out there trying to make the adoption process as painless as possible.
Now to my quandary…
My mother (with dementia) wakes up often in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and forgets to wash her hands/flush the toilet. She often forgets during the day as well. I am sensitive to sounds and her movements so I wake up and shout "make sure you wash your hands." But this just can't go on. I just worry about her hygeine.
I created this "Problem in Need of a Solution" post, and would love it if you could make "solution" suggestions.

Hi Claudia,
Hi Claudia,
I'm so happy that the Alexa Calling solution worked for your father.
I just posted my idea as a solution for your mother's issue.
